John Calvo - Outdoor Track & Field
Susquehanna at Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Moravian College (Bethlehem, Pa.) - On his grandfather’s field, Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field, John Calvo (Pennington, N.J./Lawrence) won gold in the pole vault, his sole event, at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. On Friday, the day before the championships, Calvo participated at the prestigious Penn Relays in the Eastern College Championships. At the Penn Relays, he cleared 4.70 meters to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in a two-way tie for third place as the only Division III athlete in the competition.
Ashley Moormann - Outdoor Track & Field
Susquehanna at Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Moravian College (Bethlehem, Pa.) - Ashley Moormann (Stanhope, NJ/Pope John XXIII) was named the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Year at the Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday. She won two gold medals and finished third in her other two events. Individually she scored 32 points as the women's team placed second at the championship. She won the hammer and the shot put while placing third in the javelin and discus. In addition, Moormann was also recently named the Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete.
