Entrepreneurship/Marketing

 

The Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position starting in the fall of 2009.  The School seeks someone with a background and qualifications in entrepreneurship and marketing with teaching and research interests that include small business and entrepreneurship.   Responsibilities will include teaching courses in small business entrepreneurship and marketing.  The successful candidate should demonstrate the capability of making intellectual contributions as appropriate for faculty in a business program accredited by AACSB International, including the publication of research in refereed journals.  Responsibilities will include advising students and serving on faculty committees.

 

Qualifications:  An earned doctorate in marketing, entrepreneurship or a related discipline is preferred.  ABD candidates will be considered if the degree will be completed within one year of appointment.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching, advising, mentoring and working with undergraduate students.  Professional, managerial or entrepreneurial experience is highly valued.

 

The School and University:  The Sigmund Weis School of Business is one of a small number of programs accredited by AACSB International that focuses exclusively on undergraduate education.     The School enrolls 550 of the University's 2,000 students.  The School offers majors in accounting, information systems, economics and management with focused emphases in entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, human resource management and global management.
