Personal Development

The Personal Development courses are intended to help students adjust to college life and to get the most from their college careers. First-year students who enter the university in the Weis School of Business satisfy the Perspectives requirement in the Core by taking MGMT:102 Global Business Perspectives, while all other first-year students fulfill the Perspectives requirement by completing PRDV:104 Core Perspectives. In addition to these two courses, the Personal Development area also includes one course that is required for students in the Sigmund Weis School of Business and that is also open as an elective to other students on a space-available basis.

Updated 08/01/08 as part of the 2008-2009 Catalog Supplement.

The Personal Development courses introduce two important aspects of lifelong learning: wellness/fitness and career planning. They are included in the curriculum to help students adjust to college life and to prepare for healthy and effective futures.
