Political Science Faculty
Associate Professor Michele DeMary received her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts. An expert on state courts and politics and the separation of powers, she also teaches constitutional law, women and politics, and American government and politics. She is the university's prelaw advisor and coordinates the legal studies program. She also serves on the university's Board of Trustees as a faculty representative.
Assistant Professor Henriėt Hendriks received a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. She teaches courses in American government and politics, political psychology, elections, the U.S. Congress and research methods. Her research focuses on the relationship between political institutions, elite behavior and public opinion.
Associate Professor Andrea M. Lopez, department head, holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. She specializes in international security and also teaches courses in American foreign policy, international law and organization, and Russian politics.
