Welcome to the Center for Career Services!
Online Alumni Community
The new alumni community is a secure site that allows alumni to
register to use a variety of services and tools. The community
features a pre-populated database of all alumni, searchable by name, class year, city,
etc. You may obtain a free SU e-mail account for
life, search the Career Center with résumé and job
postings, and find an SU mentor. (If you do not want your information
published online you must register and check the "Hide" button.)
We strongly encourage all alumni to use this service! The Center
for Career Services is directing employers to post positions on
the site and encourage you to use the networking and job posting
features to their fullest extent. Connecting with other SU alumni
is an excellent way to explore the hidden job market and gain
insight into different career fields that you may consider transitioning
into.
Alumni Career Team
Want to network with other alumni? Need a contact? Interested in helping students answer career questions? This service is part of the new Alumni Community and is a database of alumni. These alumni can serve as mentors, provide advice, connect you with other professionals in their field for further insight, and provide
employment leads. Each member of the community will offer
something unique. Not all alumni will be able to provide each
opportunity listed above. Give back to SU. Join the Alumni Career Team.

Résumé and Cover Letter Review
Staff members of the Center for Career Services will gladly review
your résumé
or cover letter. Please contact the office to speak
with a staff member first so we can discuss your career goals,
ask questions, and determine next steps. Most reviews take place through
e-mail correspondence.
Career Resources Library
The use of books and resources housed
in the Center for Career Services is accessible to all alumni. In many cases this may not
be convenient. If you cannot come in to use the resources, contact
the office to discuss alternative means for accessing career related
library resources.
Services Disclaimer
The Center for Career Services works to support the career development
of students and alumni. Each group has unique service needs.
The delivery of those
services often differs. Due to limited staff resources, the first priority
of the Center for Career Services is to care for the needs of
current students. The Center for Career Services will make every
attempt to meet the needs of individual alumni requests as
efficiently and effectively as possible. However, we may not always be able to provide
immediate or extensive services.
