Pre-Seminary Students Spend Spring Break in Snowy Midwest

Over spring break five of our members went on a road trip to four of the eight ELCA seminaries: Wartburg in Iowa, Trinity in Ohio, Chicago in Illinois, and Luther in Minnesota. The trip went extremely well—ask one of the girls to tell you a little about their adventures! The five members on the trip were juniors Ruth Williamson, Amy Troxell, and Sara Jane Luley and sophomores Caitlin Newman and Alina Gayeuski

Sunday, March 18, we had a mock candidacy event. Shawn Berkebile (a second year student at Gettysburg seminary) and other pastors and synod representatives came in to help lead the event. We thank Chaplain for taking us all out to eat afterwards at BJ's. On March 22nd we reflected on our experiences from this event and on April 2nd Dr. Martin from the Psychology department came to speak to us about psychological testing for the candidacy process.

Next year, current freshman Chelsea Miller will be replacing Amy Troxell as co-president to work alongside Alina Gayeuski. Congratulations, Chelsea!
