Upcoming Worship Opportunities
On March 25th, 2007 at 4 pm, Susquehanna University hosted the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America
and United Methodist Church combined service in Weber Chapel. Church leaders from both denominations
presided over the service. Members of both the Susquehanna community and the general public attended.
On Sunday, April 22, we will observe Church Music Sunday in honor of Dr. Susan Hegberg as she retires
after 27 years of faithful and dedicated service as professor of music and University Organist. A reception
in Horn Lobby will follow the special chapel service, providing an opportunity to express our thanks and good
wishes. On Thursday, April 26, the Department of Music will host a reception and recital in her honor.
The reception begins at 7:00 PM in Heilman Hall Lounge, and the recital -- featuring three of Dr.
Hegberg’s former students -- begins in Weber Chapel at 8:00 PM. All are cordially invited.
On April 29, the Chaplain’s Office will be hosting a bilingual chapel service in conjunction with Dr. Leona
Martin’s Spanish Service Professions class. Members of both English and Spanish-speaking communities in
Susquehanna and in the community are invited. There will be a coffee hour from 10-11 in Weber Chapel lobby
before the service begins.
