Campus Activities
Pre-seminary Group
This semester the Pre-seminary group will be meeting every other Thursday at 5:30 (opposite of Chapel Council meetings) in
Meeting Room 1. Our guest speakers for our meetings include Chaplain, Dr. Krieger, Charlie Roberts (Director of Youth Ministry in
Lower Susquehanna Synod ELCA) and Rabbi Nina Mandel. Also, we will be hosting weekly Lenten devotionals in the Chapel at 4:15
every Wednesday after Ash Wednesday until Easter.
This weekend a small group of members will attend a Project Connect conference in Columbia, South Carolina (pictures and details
to come!). Also, later this semester on March 28-29, a number of Pre-sem students will attend the Vocational Call Retreat at Camp
Nawakwa. Anyone who is considering a call to ministry or another vocational path in seminary should contact co-President
Chelsea Miller.
Lutheran Student Movement
LSM promotes the active participation of Susquehanna students in the life and mission of the Church. While most of its members
are Lutheran, this organization is open to people of all denominations with a desire to more clearly understand the roles of their
faith in this changing world, as well as the aspiration to bring peace and the love of Christ to all. LSM meets every Monday
night from 10-11pm in Horn Meditation Chapel, the small chapel next to Weber Chapel Auditorium. Meetings alternate between
informal worship and activity/discussion nights. In addition to weekly meetings, the members of LSM are also involved in a
Traveling Lock-in Project which serves youth groups at churches within a 2 hour radius of campus.
This semester LSM will hold a retreat at Camp Mt. Luther and participate in Lutheran Youth Day, an event for middle to high
school-aged youth held here at Susquehanna University. We also will be taking part in the 30 Hour Famine, which raises money to
combat world hunger, and holding various Fun Nights for member fellowship on weekend evenings. If you have any questions about
LSM, please contact Claire Bard, LSM President.

Chapel Music
The Handbell Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 8:00 in Greta Ray (in the Weber Chapel building). We're hoping to put
together a Handbell Service toward the end of the semester. We also played during the Christmas Candlelight Service. Other than
that, nothing too new and exciting.
Chapel Choir rehearses Sunday mornings at 10:15 in Horn Meditation Chapel. We sing the Psalm every Sunday, and are working on
learning a new setting of the Liturgy to start incorporating into worship. We also have some new anthems that we will be singing
sometime in the near future! If you are interesting in singing with us or joining Handbells, please contact the Student Assistant
for Chapel Music, Sarah Weiser.
