Participants of last year’s 30 Hour Famine at the commissioning service

Students at last year’s Famine gathered on Tuesday night to support each others’ fasts and play games that raised their awareness
of global poverty issues
Got any Lutheran Youth Days? Go Fish! April 12th is once again Lutheran Youth Day! About 300 youth, pastors and youth leaders
from across the state will converge on SU’s campus for a day of fun and fellowship. And we need you!!!
Small group leaders are needed to lead activities with the youth throughout the day! If the joy of spending a day with really
awesome youth isn’t enough, each group leader receives an official Lutheran Youth Day t-shirt AND a concert by the group “A Bunch
of Guys” for free!
Interested? Contact Deacon of Service Alina Gayeuski.
From the Deacon of Worship
Tuesday Night Watch is held every Tuesday at 10pm in Horn Meditation Chapel. It is a small group time for worship, reflection,
and fun. It is a multi-denominational gathering and all are invited to attend.
Anyone who is interested in becoming an usher for Sunday morning chapel services or wants to learn more about Tuesday Night
Watch can contact Laura Lengel, Deacon of Worship.
From the Deacon of Spiritual Nuture
Last weekend, February 1-3, was the Spring Chapel Council Retreat (despite the snow and ice!). The theme of this semester’s
retreat was “Choose Your Own Adventure,” where students discussed their spiritual journeys and how faith changes throughout
people’s lives. The Chaplain’s Office plans retreats for every semester, which are open to all interested students.

“Retreat participants at Mountaindale Farms in McClure, PA”

“Students participate in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich contest as a group-building activity”

“Sophomore Casey Oliver and freshman Karen Ward enjoy the snow and ice an afternoon break”

“The students created keepsake frames to remember the events of the weekend”
Susquehanna faculty, staff, and students have collaborated to create a Lenten Devotional booklet with daily Bible readings and
devotionals from various members of the SU community. Anyone who would like a copy may pick one up from Horn Meditation Chapel or
download your own copy here.
