Service-Learning Opportunities

Throughout the year there are several mission opportunities.

  • Susquehanna University Central America Service Adventure (SU CASA) - December 29, 2007 -January 12, 2008. A two-credit service learning course taught by Chaplain Mark Wm. Radecke in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Welcome the year 2008 in a unique and memorable way by serving among Ticos (Costa Ricans) and Nicas (Nicaraguans) and learning about “Images of Jesus” in Central America. Spanish is not required.
  • SU CASA~Belize - May 2008. A two-credit service-learning course in Belize, with a focus on providing free medical clinics in underserved areas. Belize is an English speaking country. Contact April Black, RN for information.
  • Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge - Rise to this national "challenge" by working on the construction of a Habitat house in another (warmer!) state.

If you are interested in any of these mission trips, please contact Chaplain Mark Wm. Radecke.
