Study Abroad and Internships

Internships

Internships in Washington D.C.A semester or summer internship can be a valuable complement to your studies. Our students participate in diverse off-campus internship programs in media, museums, and related businesses. Susquehanna is also an affiliate of the Washington Center which offers internships at D.C. arts organizations including the Kennedy Center, the National Symphony, the Smithsonian, the Arena Stage, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Recent Communications students have interned with a major advertising agency, a producer's office in NYC for a major television talks show, a technology manufacturing corporation, a television station, an editorial assistant for a publishing firm, a public relations assistant for a major symphony orchestra, and a banking institution. Others have worked with a national sports club as a marketing assistant, several radio stations and newspapers, hospitals, and dozens of other employers.
