Teaching and Learning Mini Grants minigrants provide up to $500 to individuals or groups to support improved teaching in any area. Central Curriculum Development Grants
The Provost's office has set aside $20,000 to encourage and support faculty who are developing courses, course materials, or course activities for the Central Curriculum. Ideally, these projects will also have the potential to create lasting changes to courses, curricula or instructional methodologies throughout the university.
Examples of appropriate projects include, but are not limited to:
- Purchasing books or other faculty development materials needed to develop new pedagogies.
- Developing new classroom materials.
- Attending or hosting events that will improve in-class and/or out-of-class teaching of Central Curriculum courses.
- Assessing the impact of Central Curriculum courses on student learning.
- Hiring adjunct faculty when a faculty member teaches or develops a new central curriculum course.
Applications for Curriculum Development Mini-Grants can be accessed via this link, and should be submitted to the Office of the Provost between September 1 and May 1 . The Center for Teaching and Learning and the Faculty Development and Research Committee will evaluate applications, and grants will be funded as long as monies designated for this purpose exist.
