Costs Accounting for Print Shop OrdersOur order forms and procedures have been designed to assist you in tracking print shop charges for your dept. We developed this procedure to be more effective in this area because we get several calls from Depts.. in reference to their print shop charges when reviewing their monthly budget reports and when planning their annual budgets. This order from and procedure was designed with a three part order from that includes a white copy for print shop use, a yellow copy that will be returned to you with the total costs for the job completed along with your completed job and a pink copy for you to keep when filling out the order form (for use in job tracking etc.) This means, when you pick up your completed job, the yellow copy of your original order form will be completed and attached to your original document(s). You can then file this yellow copy with the charges for your print job for future reference in budget planning, etc. As a further check, I suggest that you compare these yellow copies of the order forms to the pink copies that you are to keep in your office when sending in the original print request. This way you know if you receive a yellow copy back for every order you send over. The pink copies are to be kept by you when placing the order so you can reference them for information on quantity, finishing processes, date sent in and date needed. Please contact me if you have any questions. |
