ENGLISH CLUB

English majors and minors have usually formed a core group for the English Club, although students from all disciplines are welcome to participate. One of the main purposes of the Club is to foster a greater awareness and appreciation for the influence of literature and language in our lives; another is to create a forum in which students and faculty can share their interests and ideas in an informal and pleasant atmosphere. The English Club has recently sponsored events such as faculty/student picnics, theme parties, poetry readings, off-campus trips to see plays, film nights, and informal discussion nights with food. We hope to collaborate with high school students on a creative writing project as well. The English Club welcomes all ideas to make student life on campus more pleasant, productive, and literature-oriented. Professor Rachana Sachadev is the advisor.
