Facilities Management

The Facilities Management Department, located at 500 W. Sassafras Street, is responsible for the general upkeep of the Campus grounds and buildings, and for the manufacture of steam. Besides the normal day to day maintenance, we assist in setups, delivery of packages, reconfiguring of office spaces as needed, etc.

The departments within Facilities are: Carpentry, Central Receiving, Custodial, Electrical, Grounds/General Labor, Locksmith, Paint, Plumbing, Preventive Maintenance, Steam Generation.

Requests for service or concerns may be made by campus mail, phone (x4147) or e-mail (trelinsk@susqu.edu). Work is scheduled in advance therefore a few days notification is appreciated. Last minute requests are discouraged. Good judgment on the part of individuals must be an important determining factor of what is an emergency. Any disaster, unusual occurrence, malfunction of a utility, or an equipment failure that may present imminent damage to life and limb or property is an emergency and should be reported immediately by phone (x4147) to the Facilities office. NOTE: If said emergency is a fire call 911, then the Facilities office. After hours let a message on voice mail and a work order will be prepared. Any matter needing immediate attention after hours should be called to Security (x4444).

Facilities Management services are limited to areas and property of Susquehanna University. Labor and materials cannot be used for private or personal benefit.
