Text

Calculus Concepts and Contexts, 3rd Ed. by James Stewart

Grading Policy

The course grade will be determined on a 10 point scale (90% or better A, 80-89 B, etc.) There will be four exams (12% each), a comprehensive final exam (25%) and a quiz grade (27%). Since a major objective of the course is to learn about derivatives, one of the exams will be a "gateway" exam. To pass the course, every student must get a 90% or better on this exam. The exam will be offered multiple times starting around the middle of the semester. It will consist of nine differentiation problems and one tangent line problem. The problems are graded on an all or nothing basis

Attendance Policy

The attendance policy in the student handbook will be followed.

Academic Honesty

Any incidents will be handled as described in the student handbook.
