A Warm Welcome
The transition to a new environment is always an adjustment—for students and families alike. The Office of First-Year Programs coordinates activities throughout the year to prepare students to thrive both academically and personally. It begins with Summer Preview Days for students and families in June and Fall Orientation at the start of the semester in August. First-year students and their families are welcomed to the university with true Susquehanna spirit.
Communication from the Office of First-Year Programs starts with a packet of information, including the Cruising into SUmmer booklet delivered through postal mail in mid May. It continues within mySU, the university's portal for official communication within our community. A student's username and password for mySU are included in the packet mailed to them.
A newsletter with move-in details is posted in early August.
Any questions or concerns from incoming students and their families should be directed to James Black, associate dean for student engagement and success and director of the Center for Academic Achievement, at email@example.com or 570-372-4184.
