In addition to providing ambulatory health care, the Health Center offers phlebotomy services. Labs may be requested by your physician. We are able to FAX results as long as we have your written consent. The Health Center also stocks pre-packaged medications which are usually less expensive than those at local pharmacies. All charges incurred at the Health Center must be paid in the Business Office within two business days. If a student prefers, these charges can be added to their student account. Any charges not paid within two days, will automatically be added to the student's account.

All full-time registered students are provided with a limited health insurance plan. You will be billed for the health insurance as part of your student health fee. The insurance and health fee is a mandatory charge. This insurance is an in-excess plan and, in most cases, is secondary to your private insurance. Visits to the Health Center and referral from the Health Center for lab work and x-rays are covered under the school policy provided they are within the plan limits. In cases where charges exceed the plan limit, claims will be submitted to the student's private insurance first. For international students there is a more inclusive insurance plan which may be mandatory depending on your visa. For more information, click on the "Student Insurance" link or phone the Health Center at 372-4385.
