| The Cloisters Museum is located on four acres overlooking the Hudson River. The building has elements from five different french cloisters during the medieval times and has many of the features found in monastic sites within Southern France. | ![]() |
| The Coisters Museum in New York is one of three reconstructed around the world. They all feature gardens that were planted according to horticultural information found in medieval treatises and poetry. | ![]() |

Approximately five thousand works of art from medieval Europe, dating from about 800 A.D.with particular emphasis on the twelfth through fifteenth century. In this picture you can see stained actual stained glass windows from this time period. |
