The Future of the Allegheny Ridge

The Ridge Rider system is an attempt to draw people into this Heritage Area. To do this, old train beds and canal tow paths are being converted into ATV and dirt bike paths in the hopes of making the area a Mecca for ATV and dirt bike riders.

At the present time, there is still very little information about this project or what it exactly entails, but it dose show how the area is planning on drawing more visitors.

· Without trains and technology this heritage area is nothing

· Go visit Horseshoe Curve and watch trains

· Web site is in dire need of help

· If you like trains, go to the Allegheny ridge heritage area

· If you have an ATV/dirt bike, check into area in 10 years, they may have made some progress

· The people who lose from this are those who are interested in preserving nature and not creating ATV and dirt bike trails
