Government

Local/Municipal- The general goal of the Local/Municipal government is to improve quality of life through local culture.  For example this would be providing activities that represent the culture of the area.  Plays, Museums, Nature Walks. 

State- The overall goal of the State government is to induce and aid economic revival through industry.  An example of this would be providing financial aid to struggling industry.  More specifically, the Pennsylvania government helping revamp the canals of the Delaware, Lehigh and Wyoming Valleys.

National- The role of the National government would generally be to preserve national parks. The parks set in place show the beauty and culture of the area.  The national government’s job is to keep them clean and running so people can enjoy the Delaware, Lehigh and Wyoming Valleys.

The combination of all forms of government exhibit connections between the regions of the state.  Furthermore, it shows a joint effort to preserve Pennsylvania.  Lastly government generates interest in history and area by promoting hometown pride.
