PA History

  Projects Finished:

   Co-funded the Mount Jewett cultural mural.
   Co-funded the restoration of the N. G. Edelblute Building in Brookville, PA
   Co-funded the restoration of a switch engine at the PA Lumber Museum and provided funds for their   Bark Peeler’s Convention.
   Co-funded the installation of a series of interpretive signs in Ridgway, PA
   Co-funded the installation of an Elk Interpretive Kiosk at Sinnamahoning            State Park

Mount Jewett Cultural Mural

The following projects have been funded and are not yet complete:

   Co-funded and are in the process of creating a series of interpretive signs designed to send the visitor throughout the Region- introducing the visitor to the Region, telling the interpretive story of the associated itinerary and telling the local story. These will be located initially at nineteen locations through out the Region.
   Co-funded and participated in creating a nature tourism business incubator to be implemented at the proposed Sinnamahoning Nature Visitor Center.
   Co-funded and participated in the creation of a lumber industry video in partnership with PHMC and Penn State College. -It is in the final stages of production
   Co-funded a feasibility study for the creation of a visitor’s center in Renovo
   Co-funded the restoration of a 1917 Model T Ford for a Lumber Museum Exhibit
   Co-funded the feasibility study for a beautification project on SR 3011 Scenic Byway- McKean Co.
   Co-funded a walking tour of mansions project in Smethport.
   Co-funded and are in the process of completing a Strategic Plan for the Value Added Wood Products industry that is anticipate to have a significant impact in the Region.
   Provided significant funds for interpretive signs and displays at the PA Lumber Museum
