2008 SUMMER AND FALL EVENTS

JUSTICE INSTITUTE

June 24-26

The Adams Center will hold a three day, residential summer institute for middle and senior high school educators. The institute will enrich the teachers understanding of the judicial branch of government, consider instructional strategies for justice system education, and help the teachers create units of study on the justice system that will be incorporated into their classes and meet the unique learning needs of a diverse learning community.

 

UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT ASSOCIATE JUSTICE SAMUEL A. ALITO, JR. VISIT

September 15

United States Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. is scheduled to give an address at Susquehanna University on September 15, during Constitution Day week, and help rededicate the Adams Center. Further information regarding time and location will be posted as information becomes available.

 

PRO SE ASSISTANCE AND MEDIATION CLINIC OPENING

September

The Adams Center will open a rural pro se assistance and mediation clinic to serve Northumberland, Snyder and Union Counties. The opening of the clinic has been made possible by a grant from Good Samaritan, Inc. Further information regarding clinic hours, location and services to be provided will be posted as information becomes available.
