
STEERING COMMITTEE
The work of The Adams Center is guided by faculty members representing diverse disciplines. The current members of the Adams Center Steering Committee are Professor Richard O. Davis, Associate Professor Michele DeMary and Assistant Professor of Religion Thomas W. Martin.
Associate Professor of Political Science, Michele DeMary holds her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts. As a professor of public law, she teaches courses in law and society, constitutional law, and the judicial process. She also teaches in American politics more broadly, including women and U.S. politics. She has done research on state supreme courts and on judicial decision making. She is the University's prelaw advisor and coordinates the legal studies program.
Professor of Accounting,
Richard O. Davis holds the J.D. from Fordham University and the LL.M. from Georgetown University. He is a C.P.A. with several years of experience with the Internal Revenue Service. He specializes in taxation, particularly corporate tax issues, and also teaches Legal Environment of Business. He serves as an advisor to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Bar Association Tax Committees and as a consultant to several major public accounting firms.

Assistant Professor of Religion, Thomas W. Martin received his D. Phil at Oxford University. He specializes in New Testament interpretation, especially the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. He also teaches Science and Religion and pursues research in Christian ethics.
