Russell Gilbert Pennsylvania German Collection:
- This collection offers rich resources in Pennsylvania German Language, Literature, and History. Based on a
gift from Russell Gilbert, the collection continues to grow by the addition of donor gifts and other acquisitions.

The collection is housed in the Pennsylvania Room that features a beautiful fan window overlooking University Avenue.

Jane Conrad Apple Rare Books Collection:
- This collection is housed in the elegantly appointed Jane Conrad Apple Room on the second level. It includes a growing
number of first and limited editions and other monographs primarily concerning the study and appreciation of the
life and works of William Shakespeare and the Elizabethan and Tudor periods. Also contained are important manuscripts
and early imprints. Many of these books are available for circulation; please consult a staff member for access
to the collection.

Nancy Cairns Collection of French Language and Literature:
- This collection, established from the library of Nancy Cairns, Professor of French, includes several hundred
volumes of 18th, 19th and 20th Century French Literature. Several rare and important early editions of French
political and literary works are contained in this collection. The collection is housed in the Jane Conrad Apple
Rare Books Room. It is accessible by contacting the Library Secretary, 372-4317.

Susquehanna University Archives:

The Susquehanna University Archives include documents related to the University's founding and its growth
and development up to the present. These documents include yearbooks, papers of University Presidents,
photographs, etc. Many important other resources are also kept in the University Archives including:

The Quisling Papers
The Franklin Kury Papers
The Wilt Collection (Music & Musicians)
The Archives are open only to the SU community. Scholars engaged in serious research may call to arrange a visit.

Honors Lounge

The Honors Lounge is a study room for students in the Honors Program. Books for this collection are available
through the generosity of Dr. Hubert and Mabel Frings to support the interdisciplinary and independent study
of Honors students. Access is available during normal Library operating hours and all books in the Honors
Lounge circulate for the normal loan period of 4 weeks.
