  Look in vol. 2 for authors, subjects, keywords

b.       search the database Communication & Mass Media Complete

                                c.     COM Abstracts→subject search→well-known communication theorists

3.       browse books

a.       iLink (the BWL catalog) under the subject communication

 

 

SOME THEORISTS WRITE BOOKS; SOME WRITE ARTICLES; SOME WRITE BOTH.  DON’T BE FRUSTRATED IF YOU CANNOT FIND YOUR THEORIST IN ALL SOURCES LISTED!!!!

                Remember to search by author  (last name, first name) if you are searching for books by your theorist or search by subject  (last name, first name) if you are looking for material about your theorist.

To determine whether or not the BWL has a periodical, go to the BWL homepage→Resources→A to Z Periodicals List .  Holdings in the print collection are available in alphabetical order along the back of the main floor of the BWL; microfilm and microfiche are in the Microforms Room.  Other holdings may be available online through the database.   The  button will provide links between databases.

 

N.B.  Use interlibrary loan (access via the  button) for material the BWL does not own.

          Use bibliographies at the ends of books and articles for leads to other sources.
