What is Turnitin.com?
"Turnitin allows educators to check students' work for improper citation or potential plagiarism by comparing it against continuously updated databases using the industry's most advanced search technology. Every Originality Report provides instructors with the opportunity to teach their students proper citation methods as well as to safeguard their students' academic integrity." New users must create a profile before using Turnitin. Please note the following before attempting to create a new profile:
- Faculty: In order to create a profile, you must have an account ID and an account join password. You can get this information from Rebecca Wilson, Susquehanna's Turnitin administrator, at wilsonb@susqu.edu or by calling her at x4321. An alternate contact is Robert Gessner at gessnerr@susqu.edu or x4322.
- Students: To create a profile, you must have a class ID and an enrollment password. You can get this information from your professor.
