FAQ & Info about ERes
ERes is an electronic reserves software package that enables the campus to electronically access academic information, which faculty place on Course Reserves as supplemental course readings, online.
If a faculty member so requests, a print copy of a reserve item will be made available at the Circulation Desk for use in the Library. Also, if a full book title is requested to be put on reserve, it will only be put on regular reserve.
Access is restricted to the Susquehanna University community. To help ensure compliance with current copyright restrictions, all users will be asked for a valid SU user name and password. This will authenticate users and permit access to course reserves from off-campus, even when the Library is closed.
Course instructors should notify their classes when a course reserve is placed on ERes. For instructions on how to use ERes see below or pick up an instruction sheet at the Library's Circulation Desk.
Reserve Materials can be electronically accessed, on or off campus, in one of three ways:
Once you reach the ERes welcome screen, click on Electronic Reserves and Course Materials OR the Main Course Index link. You will then be prompted to make your course or instructor selections. If you do not see your instructor's name on the Instructor List, then he/she has no reserve materials available in electronic format.
Once you are logged into the ERes system, the directions are fairly intuitive. Follow the on-screen commands. The procedure is as follows:
For quick system navigation, use the menu options in the right frame of the screen. These shortcut options will allow you to do the following:
If you need to acquire Adobe Acrobat, you can download it by clicking on the icon below.
