Purpose - The purpose of LSM's traveling lock-in is to show youth a good time that is filled with the Holy Spirit. We want youth to know that they are a treasured part of the Church and we want them to experience good Christian fellowship among those close to their age.
Plan - We have planned a flexible schedule that will be used at each of our traveling lock-ins.
This year's theme is all about teaching youth how to use the gifts that God has given them to express themselves in daily life. The sessions will focus on expression as an indivdual, expression as a Christian, and expression in community.
There are no vacancies left in the 2009-2010 lock-in year. There is a waitling list available in case scheduled churches cancel. If you'd like to schedule a lock-in for the 2010-2011 year please contact the Vice President of LSM, Karen Ward - wardk@susqu.edu
Nope, the lock-in is free. The only expenses are for snacks and breakfast.
The lock-in runs from either Friday into Saturday or Saturday into Sunday. It usually begins at 7 pm and ends around 9 am the next morning.
Yes! Susquehanna University students have breaks throughout the school year. The Vice President will let you know when those dates are. Also, lock-ins do not run during the summer season.
Yes, an adult is required in case of emergencies. It is wise to have one person around who knows the youth and the area well. Adults don't lead anything. That's what the LSM leaders are for!
The church should provide snacks and breakfast in the morning.
Absolutely! As long as your LSM contact knows the approximate number of youth attending.
3-5 college students from the LSM group.
No! While LSM is a Lutheran based community, it is by no means exclusive. A good handful of our members are not Lutheran and we are better for it!
