This statement reflects the work of the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Susquehanna University. Whether you are a student, employee, alumnus or community visitor, we want you to feel like Susquehanna is a place where you can just be.

While we realize that each person is unique in his or her own way, we also realize that diversity by itself does not build community. Therefore, our mission is to foster an understanding of diversity and similarities to help find our common ground.

The general mission of the Office of Multicultural Affairs is to:

1. Provide academic, cultural and personal support to students of underrepresented minorities on Campus, while helping them to develop intellectual, social and leadership skills.
2. Collaborate with other university departments and offices to educate the larger student body on issues of diversity and multiculturalism.
