An American genius, Graham (1894-1991) is considered the mother of modern dance and its greatest practitioner. Today, the Martha Graham Dance Co. features an international roster of dancers performing a stunning repertory that reconfirms its founder's genius. From her early all-female and small-group pieces, through her inspired classics with multiple characters and elements of narrative, her work drew on psychology Greek mythology and philosophy.
