Elder Law Is Topic of Free Legal Workshop

SELINSGROVE—Area residents can gain insight into elder law and guardianship on Dec. 7, when the Neysa C. Adams Pro Se Assistance and Mediation Clinic presents a free public legal workshop at Selinsgrove CareerLink.

The workshop will be presented by Marvin Rudnitsky, managing partner of Rudnitsky & Hackman, L.L.P. in Selinsgrove. A member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, WealthCounsel and ElderCounsel, he has co-authored two books on estate and business planning: “Strictly Business: Planning Strategies for Privately Owned Businesses” and “Giving: Philanthropy for Everyone,” both published by Quantum Press. The program, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at CareerLink’s 713 Bridge Street location, includes a question-and-answer session.

The Neysa C. Adams Pro Se Assistance and Mediation Clinic was established in 2008 to serve the residents of Northumberland, Snyder and Union Counties. The clinic supplies self-represented litigants in civil proceedings with general information and forms required by the court system, helps people who need legal representation find counsel, and provides mediation services to those who would like to resolve conflict on their own terms. The clinic is supported by a Good Samaritan grant and does not charge for its services. More information can be found at www.susqu.edu/academics/16036.asp.
