Susquehanna Hosts Schoenberg Concert Series

Susquehanna University’s Department of Music will continue its “Schoenberg’s Wider Circle” concert series at 8 p.m. Feb. 12 and 19.Schoenberg’s Wider Circle” concert series  The concerts are free and open to the public, and will be held in Stretansky Concert Hall of the Cunningham Center for Music and Art.

The concerts will showcase works by revolutionary teacher and composer Andrew Schoenberg and colleagues Alban Berg, Hans Eisler, Franz Schreker, Anton Webern and Alexander Zemlinsky.

Susquehanna University music faculty will perform their works, with the final concert featuring Schoenberg’s masterpiece “Pierrot Lunaire,” for narrator and chamber ensemble.
