Three Susquehanna University spring athletics teams are heading to their respective NCAA Division III Tournaments.
The Susquehanna women’s lacrosse team earned an at-large bid to the tournament and will host a first-round game against Meredith College on Wednesday, May 7 at 3 p.m. The winner of Wednesday’s game will advance to play The College of New Jersey on Saturday, May 10 in Ewing, N.J.
The Crusaders have now earned an at-large bid to the tournament in back-to-back seasons.
In addition, the Susquehanna men’s lacrosse team earned an automatic bid to the tournament after defeating Goucher 9-6 in Saturday’s Landmark Conference championship game. The win marked the second-straight Landmark Conference title for the Crusaders who also won last year’s championship to earn an automatic to the tournament, the first NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
The Crusaders now travel to face York (Pa.) in a first-round game on Wednesday, May 7 at 3:30 p.m. The winner of that game advances to play Salisbury on May 10.
Finally, baseball won its first-ever Landmark Conference title with Monday afternoon’s defeat of No. 22 Moravian College. The Crusaders have already set a program record with 28 victories and will await the NCAA Division III baseball selection show on May 11 to determine its first-round opponent.
