SELINSGROVE, (Pa.) - Susquehanna University will host four In-Action Days for high school seniors in October. Approximately 600 high school seniors and their parents from seven states are expected to come to campus for the events.

The first event will be the Science-In-Action Day on Friday, Oct. 10. During the day, high school students will conduct experiments with SU faculty and students. In doing so, the students will have an opportunity to explore topics in biochemistry, chemistry, ecology, environmental science and geology, genetics, physics and astronomy, animal behavior, mathematics and computer science, developmental biology, environmental chemistry or physiology.

On Monday, Oct. 13, Susquehanna will host a Liberal Arts-In-Action Day. Participants in this event will attend workshops directed by SU faculty and students. The workshops will focus on such majors as elementary education, economics, modern languages, history, graphic design, public relations, music, political science, TV/radio broadcasting, theatre production, international diplomacy, psychology and sociology.

On Friday, Oct. 24, a Business-In-Action Day will be offered to high school seniors interested in accounting, business, economics, finance, information systems, marketing and management. This program focuses on the rapidly changing business environment and how to prepare for it.

During the Writing-In-Action Day, scheduled for Monday, Oct. 27, high school students will work with several published writers and attend workshops on such topics as fiction, poetry, journalism, children's literature, ethics and writing, creative non-fiction, memoirs, college writing, and women and writing.
