FILM INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVES TO SPEAK AT SU

Speakers Wrote Screenplays for Stuart Little, Lethal Weapon

Selinsgrove, Pa. - Greg Booker, the writer who adapted E.B. White's novel Stuart Little, and Shane Black, writer of the screenplay Lethal Weapon, will speak on the film and television industry at Susquehanna University, Thursday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Room 319 of the Business and Communications Building.

Booker has written numerous screenplays. In addition to adapting Stuart Little, he recently wrote and directed a short film for Fox and a television show for E! He is set to direct his first feature film.

Black is one of the most famous young screenwriters in Hollywood. After writing Lethal Weapon, he set an astounding precedent by selling his original screenplay, The Last Boy Scout, for $1.75 million in 1990. A few years later, he sold The Long Kiss Goodnight for $4 million. He has also acted in several films, including Liberty Heights, As Good As It Gets and Robocop.
