Schock has served as assistant director for the Office of Event Management since 2006. She is primarily responsible for summer conference operations and non-university events. Her position includes working with external clients, as well as faculty and staff, to host conferences, trainings, camps and other special events at Susquehanna. As part of her duties, she supervises a summer staff of Susquehanna University students, in addition to graduate student interns.
A 2000 graduate of Susquehanna, Schock received her degree in communications with a public relations emphasis, while earning a dual minor in writing and Spanish. In 2013, she received her master’s degree in education from Bucknell University, as part of the college student personnel program.
Prior to returning to Susquehanna, Schock held a position as an event coordinator with Journal Multimedia, a multi-title publishing, media and events company in Harrisburg. In this role she planned a wide variety of events ranging from meetings to large-scale public gatherings with thousands of attendees.
Along with her professional duties, Schock currently acts as new member adviser to the Susquehanna University chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha chapter, of which she is a member. She also is active in the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, serving as a committee member for the chamber's annual Women's Leadership Symposium.
