Wagner leads the instructional technology area within the Office of Information Technology at Susquehanna University. She serves as the liaison between faculty and the technology department and participates on various academic committees. Wagner works directly with faculty to incorporate technology into the classroom and to create instructional media to enhance the learning environment. She has created and supports the Online Teaching Studio on campus. Faculty can use this studio to pre-record lectures for classes that they may need to miss due to a conference. This studio is also used to create video lectures in support of the online summer courses. She also administers the Blackboard learning management system and assists faculty and students in understanding and using this system.
Wagner has more than 20 years of experience in the instructional technology area, with more than 10 of these being at Susquehanna University. While at Susquehanna, her responsibilities have evolved from providing troubleshooting for technology issues to providing guidance on using technology in the classroom. Before joining Susquehanna in 2003, Wagner was an engineering instructional technologist at Bucknell University, working specifically with engineering faculty to incorporate technology and active-learning techniques, such as teamwork and problem-based learning, into the classroom. In her past, she has also helped to design and develop computer-based training programs and to set up and run weeklong workshops.
