Head Cheerleading Coach
Susquehanna University seeks a part-time cheerleading coach for a position without benefits reporting to the director of athletics. The successful candidate is responsible for all aspects of leading a successful cheerleading program, including recruiting qualified student-athletes; counseling student-athletes in a positive manner; monitoring academic progress of student-athletes; planning practices and coaching events; managing the budget; and adhering to university rules and regulations. Cheerleading is conducted both during the fall and winter seasons at various events including, but not limited to, football and basketball.
Candidates must have the energy, enthusiasm and mobility to actively coach field sports.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two years coaching experience, preferably at the college level, or other experience with cheerleading programs. Knowledge of AACCA safety rules or AACCA certification is preferred.
