Public Safety Officer
Susquehanna University seeks a full-time public safety officer for a benefits-eligible position at 40 hours per week. The successful candidate is responsible for enforcing state, local and university rules and regulations; enforcing all parking and traffic regulations; responding to calls and completing investigation reports; patrolling special events as assigned; and maintaining the department’s equipment and property.
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; work any shift, weekends and holidays; work in all types of weather conditions; and confront a variety of unknown conditions.
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license. A minimum of two to three years’ prior experience in security/law enforcement and PA ACT 235 and/or 120 certification are preferred.
