Part-Time Public Safety Dispatcher
Susquehanna University seeks a part-time, non-benefits eligible public safety dispatcher, working rotating shifts, weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring all fire and intrusion alarms, answering phones, dispatching public safety officers during emergencies and being the liaison to other public safety agencies. Candidates must be able to remain calm under stress and pressure, speak clearly on the phone and over the radio, maintain confidentiality and assist with communications during natural and/or man-made emergencies.
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma, plus a minimum of one year of dispatch experience for an emergency services organization or other emergency response experience.
