Internships

Political Science majors can complement their classroom study and research with practical experience through internships. Such opportunities may be arranged by the department, the student, or as part of an off-campus study program. Most commonly, these are undertaken in the senior year. Department-arranged internships have included placements with the City of Sunbury and the Borough of Selinsgrove, the Northumberland County District Attorney's Office, a judge of the Northumberland County Court, and local law firms. Off-campus internships have included placements with the United States Department of Justice, the Atlantic Council of the United States, the Heritage Foundation, in Congressional offices, and in the Public Affairs Office of the Vice President of the United States.
