Citation Guide

This guide is designed to provide students in the Department with a resource providing examples of citations, methods for an effective presenation, and helpful tips for paper writing. Although the guide is not a grammar manual, it suggests several useful books on the subject that may assist students who need grammatical assistance. For more help on writing a paper, students may also seek assistance from Susquehanna's Writing Center.

The Political Science Department uses a modified APSA format for citing sources, and this guide provides detailed examples of how to create those citations for books, Web sites, news articles, scholarly articles, government documents, statutes, court cases, and other relevant materials. To save a copy of the guide for your records, right click the link below and select "Save Target As..." When the Save dialog box opens, find the folder or location where you want to save the file, make sure that the "Save as type" field says "Microsoft Word Document," and then click "Save."
