United States Air Force Academy Assembly
Colorado Springs, Colorado
In 2003, 2004, and 2007, the Political Science Department sent two
students to the United States Air Force Assembly. The purpose of
the assembly is to have college students from across America gather
and discuss the political issues of the day in order to form consensual
opinions that can be drafted into a document and sent to the members
of the U.S. Congress. The topic for the 49th Annual United States
Air Force Academy Assembly in 2007 was "South America: Challenges
and Opportunities for Prosperity, Justice, and Security." The
program is conducted annually.
