Professor of Philosophy Jeffrey P. Whitman,
department head, received his Ph.D. from Brown University. He
specializes in the study of applied ethics and epistemology and
teaches courses in logic. |

Associate Professor of Religion Karla G. Bohmbach received her Ph.D. from Duke University. Her research focuses on feminist interpretations of the Hebrew Bible, though she teaches a wide array of courses in biblical studies, as well as such other courses as Women and Religion and Introduction to Women's Studies. She also serves as the Coordinator of the Women's Studies Program at Susquehanna. |

Associate Professor of Religion Jeffrey K. Mann received
his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. He specializes in the
study of historical and contemporary theology, as well as World
Religions. |

Assistant Professor of Religion Thomas W. Martin received
his D. Phil at Oxford University. He specializes in New
Testament interpretation, especially the Gospel of Luke and the
Acts of the Apostles. He also teaches Science and Religion and
pursues research in Christian ethics. |

Assistant Professor of Philosophy Coleen P. Zoller received her Ph.D. from Emory University. She specializes in ancient Greek philosophy, especially Plato, and the history of philosophy. She is currently doing research on Plato's treatment of the body as well as Socratic Intellectualism and Plato's moral psychology. Dr. Zoller teaches Ancient Philosophy, a Plato Seminar, Philosophy of Love and Desire, Metaphysics, Feminist Philosophy, Problems in Philosophy, Ethical Theory, and Introduction to Women's Studies. |

Professor of Philosophy Warren H. Funk received his Ph.D. from
Columbia University. He specializes in contemporary philosophy of
religion and epistemology, Wittgenstein, and American
pragmatism. He teaches a variety of courses in philosophy,
including Problems in Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, and Aesthetics.

Mark Wm. Radecke, chaplain to the University, received an
M.Div. from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg,
an S.T.M. from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, and a D.Min. from Princeton
Theological Seminary. He specializes in such service-learning
courses as "Service
Learning in Central America and "Issues at
the End of Life" |

Lecturer Rabbi Nina Mandel received her Master of Hebrew
Letters from Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and an M.A. in
social anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. She
teaches courses in the Jewish studies program and serves as the
presiding rabbi for the Temple Beth El in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. |

Lecturer Ted Chappen received his M.A. from the
University of Chicago, where he is also a Ph.D. candidate. He
specializes in Kantian Ethics and the History of Philosophy. He
teaches courses in Medical Ethics and Philosophy & Public Policy
at Lycoming College, and he teaches Problems in Philosophy and
Introduction to Logic here at Susquehanna University. |
