The welfare and safety of Susquehanna University students, faculty and staff are the highest priorities in the university's preparedness and response plans should an emergency of some kind occur. The university has an Emergency Management Team in place that is trained to respond quickly and appropriately, in conjunction with local, state and federal authorities in times of crisis. Team members represent the offices of public safety, facilities management, student life, academic affairs, the treasurer, and public relations. The plan provides guidelines to various levels of man-made or natural emergency situations including power failures, hazardous spills, bomb threats, explosion, fire, and flooding.

What to Do in an Emergency

In case of a campus emergency, serious injury, death, or other similar problems, you are asked to follow these procedures. The Degenstein Campus Center will be the evacuation headquarters, if necessary. Anyone who is displaced by an emergency should go to the Campus Center for temporary accommodations.
