Living On Campus: Residence Halls

Susquehanna requires all students not commuting from their family homes, and who are not 23 years of age or older, or married, to live in University housing.

Under certain conditions, requests for special permission to live off campus may be granted by the Residence Life Office. An annual off campus lottery is held in February to identify students eligible to move off campus the following year. There are no facilities for married students or students who are single parents.

Residence Hall Rooms

Rooms in residence halls include beds, desks, and dressers. All University beds are 38" wide and 78" long. Extra long twin fitted sheets work best. With the exception of the Avenue Houses, Liberty Alley and the Tudor House, all halls have air-conditioning.

All residence halls are connected by fiber-optic cable to the University's network. Each room has a telephone line (students supply their own telephone) and each student receives a PIN which enables him/her to access his/her own voice mail box. Local calls are free but students must use a calling card to make long distance calls. These services are included in the cost of room.
