Posing
after
the first performance (Becky, Rick, Sabin, and Janessa are missing in the picture :( |
| The
second performance was our rendition of Hoffman's Nutcracker fairy tale,
replete with ballroom dances and a set of 4 dances by 9 charming children.
The action takes place first in Clara's home (Asli Lawrence as Clara),
continues in the Land of Snow and the Land of Flowers. |
 |
Guests
arrive at Clara's home... |
 |
...and
the Christmas Ball begins. |
 |
Clara
dances polka with a wooden nutcracker that she received as a Christmas
gift. |
 |
In
Clara's dream, her "toys" come alive and dance with her. |
 |
Then,
the mice come out and dance ... |
 |
...
but
they are driven off by the "Nutcracker" army! |
 |
Clara
travels to the "Land of Snow" ... |
 |
...where
the ball continues with waltzes... |
 |
... and
then she travels to the "Land of Flowers" (this dance was led by Jeff
Mann, the father of little Jeff, our "Greek" boy) |
 |
Our
main performers at the end of the show |
 |
The
whole cast along with some adventurous onlookers who joined us for the last dance |
 |
Clara
awakens from her dream ... |
 |
... and
Natasha meets Santa Claus. |
