¤Bounce and Annual Holloween Party
SU SIFE had a blast jumping around at the Bounce Funplex in October! In order to have some fun, we decided to keep the tradition of hopping around on trampolines for an hour and making our legs as sore as possible! Also in October, Mr. Cravitz hosted his annual Holloween Party! Mr. Cravitz went with a traditional, colonial look while some of our members decided to think outside the box. Thanks to all who attended this events!

¤SIFE Exec Training at Bowie State
On October 10th, the Executive Board and our Sam Walton Fellow attended an "Unleash Your Potential" training session at Bowie State University, Bowie, MD. Topics covered at this training included reviewing the SIFE Team Model, gaining institutional support, recruiting members, and maintaining relationships with advisory board members and alumni. After a "Career Networking" lunch, the afternoon segment consisted of navigating the website and an interactive opportunity to discuss different methods to market the SIFE team on and off campus.

¤SU SIFE partners with local businesses
In one of our new projects, the Extreme Green Makeover SU SIFE is partnering with two local businesses to promote going green in these tough economic times. SU SIFE is emphasizing the savings that going green can have on businesses.

¤SU SIFE team travels to Hershey Bear game
One of SU SIFE's favorite team bonding traditions is traveling every February to a Hershey Bears Ice Hockey game! It was a very exciting game, and the Bears won in overtime!

SU SIFE has recently been in the headlines, resulting from their trip to Unleashing Philly, an event occurring national Entrepreneurship week. President Ethan Ellenberger and Vice-President Megan Neff had the opportunity to speak at the event, educating others about SIFE. Follow this link to see their presentation! SU SIFE's executive board held a meeting for their BAB members on January 11th, 2009. We would like to thank our BAB that attended, and for their continued support.

¤SU SIFE participates in homecoming parade
In celebration of Susquehanna's 150th anniversary, and the Sigmund Weis School of Business celebrating its 25th, a large homecoming parade was announced for this year. SU SIFE worked to get all of the deans of the SWSB back to campus to celebrate this event. Carl Bellas, the founding dean, Jim Brock, and current dean Alicia Jackson were hosted in style by SU SIFE. We had a lot of fun helping to celebrate this milestone, and are looking forward to the future. Below is a picture of the part of our team that helped out with the parade!

¤SU SIFE Participates in local street festival
SU SIFE participated for the 3^rd time in the local Market Street Festival in Selinsgrove, PA. SU SIFE handed out informative brochures to the crowds enjoying the street fair. SU SIFE had a putting green to promote our golf tournament coming up in the spring, and lots of kids came out to play! We handed out bags with information about identity theft, financial literacy, and information about some of our projects.


¤SU SIFE Participates in National Competition
SU SIFE participated in their 5th national competition in Chicago, IL. Team members bonded by taking a bus to Chicago from Selinsgrove, spending 14 hours together on the ride. Additionally, team members went to a Chicago Cubs game where we saw the home team win.

¤SU SIFE Named Regional Champions
SU SIFE was named Regional Champions in Philadelphia, PA again this year! Most of the team members went to Philadelphia to participate in the competition.
