The Game of L.I.F.E.

This is a new project that was started during the 2006 spring semester. The acronym LIFE stands for “learning to invest for future education”. Realizing the importance of higher education, as well as the rising costs of schooling, our team developed a way to educate new parents about the importance of saving for their child’s education.

We developed pamphlets outlining the benefits of higher education and offering advice on how parents can begin saving for this important, but costly expense. These pamphlets will be distributed in hospital waiting rooms and placed in the bags that hospitals give to new parents. Additionally, they will be available in waiting rooms and lobbies of local pediatrician offices and child care centers.

Since The Game of L.I.F.E. is a very new project, we are excited to see how it will develop and expand in the coming years. Our future plans include holding seminars at childcare centers, daycares, and even SU, where we can present the information first-hand to parents and allow time for them to ask questions. We would also like to have this information available on our website where parents anywhere can access the information.
